There is a huge need for a skate park for young
people in Hereford. Since 2003 I have been involved in
supporting young people. They have, on their own behalf,
formed a constituted group - WS4H (Wheeled Sports for
Hereford), carried out fundraising events, applied for
funding, drawn up their own plans and are within a few
months of work starting.
Without the support of Cllr. Anna Toon, who remains a
member of the Liberal Democrat group, and other supporters,
the sum of £190,000 would not have been raised.
Funding has been given from Herefordshire Police, Hereford
City Council and Welcome to our Future among other
organisations.
